Ray Chavira

Ray Chavira, 79 of Pearsall, TX, entered rest on March 25, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1935 in Goldfinch, TX to Ernesto Chavera and Elvira Mendez. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Roy Chavira, brothers; Fermin Chavera, Delfino Chavera, Lucio Chavera, Valente Chavera & Beno Chavera, sisters; Ramona Guajardo & Adela Chavera Villarreal, grandson Rene Ray Chavira and great grandson Lucas Whitehead.

He is survived by his wife Ramona Reyes Chavira, children; Rachel Chavira, Rene Chavira, Becky Mendoza & spouse Jesse, Barbara Ramirez & spouse Jaime, and Bobby Chavira, sisters Eloisa Castillo & Mary Rizo, brothers; Jesus Chavera, Juan Chavera, & Ralph Chavera, 20 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 2 pm. Interment followed at the Frio County Cemetery.
