Roberto L. Martinez, born on June 3, 1964, in Caldwell, Idaho, passed away on September 25, 2026, in Cotulla, Texas.

Roberto will be remembered as a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of others. He loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bringing warmth and companionship wherever he went. He also had a special love for animals of all kinds, a devotion reflected in the motto he lived by: “Pets are welcome, Humans are tolerated.” That lighthearted saying captured both his sense of humor and the affection he held for the animals he welcomed into his life.

He is survived by his siblings, Juan Martinez, Victoria Martinez, Oscar Martinez and his wife Yvonne, Domingo Martinez Jr. and his wife Shannon, Aniceto Martinez and his wife Chavela, and Juantia Pruneda and Baldo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  May their memories of Roberto bring them comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Roberto was preceded in death by his father, Domingo Martinez Sr.; his mother, Ernestina Lizarma Martinez; his brothers, Elio Martinez and Larry Martinez; his sisters, Elvia Martinez and Eida Martinez; and his cherished pet, Mya.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Treviño Royal Oaks Dilley Chapel, 604 W. Leona St., Hwy 85, Dilley, Texas 78017. A prayer service will be held there the same day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Roberto will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
