Roman Viesca Jr., 84 of Pearsall, entered rest on August 17, 2017. He was born on May 4, 1933 in Pearsall, TX to Roman Viesca Sr. and Florinda Castaneda Viesca. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dominga, Ignacia,Victoria; brothers, Valentin, Humberto, Nicolas, Sirildo, Victor and Miguel.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Rodriguez Viesca of Pearsall; children, Ignacio Viesca (Yolanda) of Pearsall, Humberto Viesca of Pearsall, and Victoria Viesca of Pearsall; grandchildren, Nina Viesca, Joseph Viesca, Steven Viesca, David Talamantes, Derek Talamantes, and Daniel Talamantes. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include: Steven Viesca, Joseph Viesca, Derek Talamantes, David Talamantes, Daniel Talamantes, Albert Torres, Eddie Perez, and Gerardo Viesca.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10am. Interment will follow at the Frio County Cemetery.
