Roque Ramirez Jr.

Roque Ramirez, 51 of Dilley, entered rest on December 08, 2020. He was born on February 13, 1969 in Dilley to Roque Ramirez Sr. and Maria Alma Trevino Ramirez. He is preceded in death by his sister, Anna Ramirez; grandparents, Francisco Ruiz Ramirez and Elisa Pena Ramirez.

Roque was known to his friends and family as "Coki". He started his professional music career at the age of 16. He played the accordion, bajo, and was a talented vocalist in the Tejano band, Groupo Trueno. He also spent a few years playing christian music for Los Truenos de Christo. Coming from a family of musicians, Coki enjoyed playing music along side his father, uncles, brother, cousins and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and his memory will live on through the beautiful music he played and sang.

He is survived by his wife, Ursula Molina Ramirez of Dilley; parents, Roque Ramirez Sr. and Maria Alma Trevino Ramirez of Dilley; children, Roque Ramirez III, Louis Alexander Ramirez, Caleb John Ramirez, Axxin Aaron Ramirez; grandson, Roque Ramirez IV; siblings, Rosa Linda Barrera and Romaldo Ramirez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Christian Faith Center from 5pm-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Christian Faith Center, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
