Rosita H. Vargas

Rosita H. Vargas, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 82, in her hometown of Pearsall, Texas. She was born on August 9, 1943, in Pearsall, where she spent her life dedicated to her family and her community.

Rosita was the beloved mother of three children: Rebecca Walker (Toice Jr.), Mario Vargas (Jill Longoria), and Rachel Vargas (Raul Fuentes). Her legacy of love continues through her 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, each of whom she adored and who brought immense joy to her life.

She is survived by her brother, Sammy Herrera and sister Yolanda Mendez, who, along with the extended family and friends, will continue to honor her memory.

Rosita was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Manuel H. Vargas, whose companionship defined her life. In addition to her husband, she was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Jesus and Angelita Herrera, and her siblings, Isabella Mora, Irma Ortegon and Jesus Herrera Jr. They remain in the hearts of their loved ones as they gather to celebrate Rosita’s remarkable life.

A visitation will be held on February 2, 2026, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, located at 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, TX, from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM. The funeral service will commence at 10:00 AM at Read the Red Church, situated at 302 S Apple St, Pearsall, TX. Following the service, Rosita will be interred at Pearsall Cemetery, located at 1675 E Colorado St, where family and friends will gather to pay their final respects.

Rosita H. Vargas leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her spirit will forever be a presence in the lives she touched, and she will be dearly missed.
