Sally Stacy

August 27, 1940 — July 13, 2023

Sally Aileen Ramsey Stacy departed this world on Thursday, July 13, 2023 after a courageous battle with the thief that is dementia.

Sally Aileen Ramsey was born on August 27, 1940 in Ingleside, Texas.

She grew up in Ingleside and graduated from Ingleside High School in 1958.

Sally married Clifton Stacy on October 1, 1960.  They moved to Pearsall, Texas and became parents to Clifton, Jr., Tracy Jo, and Amanda.

Sally was a businesswoman extraordinaire.  She owned Pat Walker’s Figure Salon and Flowers and Gifts by Stacy, while raising her children and contributing to the community of Pearsall.  After her children were grown, she obtained her insurance license and helped hundreds of people get life and health insurance.

Sally was an infamous hostess, always willing to open her home for any occasion or even just an afternoon swim. She always fed those who were hurting.

Sally loved her children but she adored her grandchildren.  She would travel with them and to them at the drop of a hat.  They have many fond memories of travels with Tutu.

Sally is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clifton, her son, Clifton Stacy, Jr. of Pearsall, Tracy (Jeff) Howard of College Station, Texas,  and Amanda (Ben) Neelley of Columbia, Tennessee. She will always be Tutu to her 9 grandchildren; Sakett Howard, Stacy Howard, George (Emily) Neelley, Clifton Stacy III, Paul Neelley, Clay Stacy, Caroline Neelley, Juliana Neelley, and Wade Neelley, her 3 great-grandchildren; Isabella Neelley, Cole Stacy, and Cash Stacy and to Felix (Paco) Arnold, Jr. She also leaves her devoted sisters, Wanda Traweek of Huntsville, Alabama and George (Paul) Hanley of Boonton, New Jersey.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents George and Amanda Sue Ramsey, grandson, Jacob Neelley, and daughter-in-law, Susan Stacy.

Service will be on Saturday, July 22nd at 10am Pearsall Methodist Church. Following the service please gather at the Church Fellowship Hall for light refreshments and visiting with the family.
