Obituary

Samuel Gonzales passed away on October 26, 2026, in San Antonio at the age of 57. He was born on August 24, 1969, in Dilley, Texas.

Samuel will be remembered as a get-up-and-go kind of man who enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved being around the people he cared about, and some of his happiest moments were shared over meals, especially when trying new places to eat. Above all, he loved his grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

He is survived by his children, Mark Gonzales (Sam Martinez) and Monique Chacon (Roberto Pizana) by his grandchildren, Madison Gonzales, Ronin Gonzales, and Camila Craig; by his father, David Gonzales Jr.; and by his siblings, Yolanda Gonzales and Ines, Leticia Flores and Lauro, Lydia Castillo, and Saul Gonzales. He also leaves behind many loved ones who will continue to carry his memory forward through the stories, laughter, and family moments he cherished so deeply.

Samuel was preceded in death by his mother, Blasa Carrizales Gonzales, and by his brother, David Gonzales III.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family on October 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Treviño Royal Oaks Dilley Chapel, 604 W. Leona St., Hwy 85, Dilley, Texas 78017. A Rosary will be held there at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Dilley Cemetery in Dilley, Texas.

Samuel Gonzales will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
