Soila Morales Trevino

Soila Morales Trevino of Pearsall passed away on December 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Trevino.
Soila was born in Falfurrias, TX on December 28, 1946. She was the youngest of six children. After graduation from Falfurrias High School she earned he Bachelor Degree in English and minor in business from Texas A&I University in Kingsville. After graduation she moved to San Antonio, TX and began her teaching career with San Antonio ISD. In 1970 she married Roger and after he earned his law degree, they moved to Pearsall, TX where he practiced law and she worked for the city of Pearsall as a librarian. She later interrupted her career to raise their son David Earl Trevino. After that Soila worked for the Pearsall Public Schools and earned her credentials as a school librarian from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She was a dedicated librarian and avid reader. She always had 2 or 3 books around her.
She taught CCD classes at the Immaculate Heart of Mary for several years, helped with church festivals and activities. She became a Guadalupana of St. Dominic’s Church in San Antonio, TX.
In her lifetime her quiet and loving personality touched many of her students, colleagues and relatives. She will be greatly missed by the Trevino & Morales families. She leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, who have fond memories of times spent with her,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reynaldo & Margarita Morales. Her bothers; Rafael Morales, Rodolfo Morales and Reynaldo Morales, Jr. and Sister Delia Vasquez. She is survived by her sister Socorro & husband Jesus Vicinaiz. Her son, David Earl Trevino, grandchildren; David Devon, Diamond Justice, Dynasty Soila Irene Trevino, and Dezire Roman. Great-granddaughter; Isela Mari Trevino.

Pallbearers are Jesus Vicinaiz, Javier Tijerina, Danny Morales, Gaspar Treviño, David Devon Treviño, Charlie Hernandez, and Ricardo Cantu. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Morales and Diamond Justice Trevino.
