Sophia C. Martinez

Sophia C. Martinez, 52 of Pearsall, entered rest on September 21, 2016. She was born on December 4, 1963 in Pearsall to Arturo L. Martinez and Celerina Cantu Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Ernesto Anzua Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Juan R. Martinez of Dilley, children; Tammy R. Anzua, Sabas Tomas Ramon and wife Kristy, Timothy Ramon and James A. Martinez. Brothers and sisters: Irene Guevara and husband Hector of San Antonio, Arturo C. Martinez and wife Margot Chavez of Pearsall, Leno C. Martinez and wife Virginia of Pearsall, Vicente C. Martinez and wife Delia of Kingsville, Gabby Ventura and husband Benito Jr. of Pearsall, Albert C. Martinez of San Antonio, Abel C. Martinez and Frances Garza of Pearsall, Myra M. Martinez and husband Nolberto Jr. of Pearsall, Gloria Bueno and husband Juan of Racine, WI, Rita J. Martinez of Racine, WI, Becky Martinez and husband Gary Tritten of Pearsall. Grandchildren: Adrian Anzua, Briana Anzua, Amaris Anzua, Nevaeh N. Ramon, Sabas Tomas Ramos Jr., Luis Matthew Ramon, Thomas Edward Ramon, Timothy Ramon Jr., Kevin Ramon and Christian Ramon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels-Pearsall from 2pm-9pm with a prayer service held at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Christian Faith Center in Dilley, 10am. Interment will follow at the Pearsall Cemetery.
