Vicente and Tanya D. Cantu passed away together suddenly on October 25, 2026, in Pearsall. Their loss is deeply felt by all who knew and loved them, and their lives will be remembered with gratitude, affection, and lasting pride.

Together, Vicente and Tanya built a life centered on love, family, and joy. They loved spending time with their family, traveling, and cherishing their grandchildren. They enjoyed going on bike rides, were known as the life of the party, and loved to dance. Both were true food lovers who enjoyed fine dining, and they also loved to shop. The warmth they brought to gatherings and the happiness they shared with others will remain a treasured part of their memory.

Vicente devoted more than 25 years to the power line industry, beginning in 2004, and was very well known in his field. Tanya gave more than 13 years to education, serving with Dilley ISD, Comfort ISD, and Boerne ISD. Their dedication to their work reflected the same commitment and care they gave to their family and to the people whose lives they touched.

They are survived by a loving family who will continue to carry their memory forward. Vicente and Tanya leave behind their children and their families: Destiny and Arnold Ochoa; Jeffrey and Savannah Maldonado; Dezarae and Andrew Velasquez; Jacent and Janel Cantu; and Vicente and Yamilen Cantu. They are also lovingly remembered by their grandchildren, Xander James Ochoa, Xavian Jake Ochoa, Xaelynn Jayne Ochoa, Avalynn Rose Maldonado, Ariella Alani Maldonado, Baby Maldonado, Ryan Elijah Velasquez, Aziel Elias Velasquez, Bentley Odin Cantu, Silvy May Cantu, Lilliana Lee Cantu, Yalany R. Cantu, and Vicente E. Cantu III, each of whom brought great pride and happiness to their lives.

They are also survived by their parents and extended family: Delgadina Gonzalez; Sylvia and Mateo Zuniga; Mariah Zuniga; Ruben and Mary Jo Gonzales; Juanita Gonzalez; and Tanya and Roger San Miguel, and many nieces and nephew who loved them unconditionally. The love of their family surrounded them throughout their lives, and that same love now surrounds those who mourn them.

Vicente and Tanya were preceded in death by Carmel Guajardo Jr.; Jeffrey Trevino; Rosa Garcia; Luz Cantù and Ruben Cantu; and Juan Cantu Sr. Their memories remain honored alongside those who went before them.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, TX 78061. Doors will not open until 6:30pm. A Rosary will be recited that evening from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the same location. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 422 W Brazos St, Pearsall, TX 78061, followed by burial at 11:30 a.m. at Dilley Cemetery, Dilley, TX 78017.

Vicente and Tanya will be remembered for the love they shared, the happiness they brought to others, and the family they cherished so deeply. Their bond, their spirit, and the many memories they created will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.
