Zeferina Montes

Zeferina Montes, 96 of Pearsall, entered rest on February 13, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 26, 1924 in Dilley to Juan Montes and Nicora Perez Montes. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Paula Montes Martinez and Miguel Montes.

She is survived by her daughter,  Maria Louisa Ibarra; sister, Macaria Montes; grandchildren, Norma Rivera (Frank), Ricardo Ibarra (Valentina), Cynthia Ibarra and Senaida Ibarra (John Ortiz.) She is also survived by her 2 nieces, Janie Hinojosa and Lourdes DeLeon (David) as well as 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Extended families include, Montes families from Amarillo/Austin/Lubbock and San Antonio, Molina Families from Houston and San Antonio, Borjas Families from Dilley and San Antonio and Fonseca Family from Dilley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Frio County Cemetery.
