Adela Alaniz Velasquez

Adela Alaniz Velasquez, 75 of Pearsall, entered rest on October 18, 2017 in San Antonio. She was born on August 28, 1942 in Goldfinch, Tx to Fidel Alaniz and Simona Ramos Alaniz. She is preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Graciela Velasquez of Pearsall, Sandra Migura and husband Matthew of Beeville, Mark Velasquez and wife Pauline of Floresville and Jesse Velasquez III and wife Maria of Houston; brother, Antonio Alaniz and wife Sulema of Devine; sisters, Romana Rios and husband Julian of Pearsall, Maria Cuevas of Pearsall and Isidra Reyes of Martin, Tx. She is survived by her grandchildren, Eduardo Palos Jr., Eric Joseph Palos, Anna Maria Nicole Salazar, Candice Mercedes Velasquez, Megan Leigh Briones, John Anthony Velasquez, Brittany Michelle Velasquez,Mark Alaniz Velasquez Jr., Marcos Antonio Salvador Velasquez, Jesus Sebastian Velasquez and Alexia Carolina Velasquez; Great-grandchildren, Owen Kuykendall, Jacquelyn Palos, Emily Palos, Elijah Palos, Adelias Palos, Damien Palos, Liliana Palos, Marius Palos, Brylee Chrystine Salazar, Khloe Velasquez-Lesak and Liam Velasquez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 22, 2017 at Trevino Royals Oaks Funeral Chapel  from 2-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday October 23, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10am. Interment will follow at the Frio County Cemetery.
